As a family photographer this time of year is always busier, first the December holidays, New Years and now Valentine's Day is approaching! But, I think it's important to remember to be grateful each day, not just when these holidays remind us. So, having said that, I'd like to continue with my theme of being grateful year-round with the Gratitude 365 project!
Today I realize I am grateful for the opportunity to work with families, couples and even their pets, to create an image, and more than just an image, a memory, that can be cherished forever. When I look at my own family photographs I see more than just the people in the picture, I see a moment captured forever on film. And in that moment you can not only see, but you can feel the connection, the love, and the happiness that is being shared. I am truly blessed to be able to give others their moments and memories to look back upon.
I know winter can seem so desolate, especially after the holidays in North Pole Alaska! It feels refreshing to take time to remember what I am grateful for every day!
