September 8, 2011, my flight departed Fairbanks, Alaska to Nashville, TN to where my sister and husband would be picking me up. The excitement that I endured above the restlessness and anticipation of the arrival of my soon-to-be niece. A scheduled C-section was following the next day. As soon as I touched down we went to the Dr and prepared for the event that was about to happen in the morning to come. Let's just say, it was an amazing experience to be able to share this moment with my sister, her husband, and of course the "big" sister, my first niece, Hattie. She was full of questions and excitement as we all were too. Her and I danced the time away, while singing, coloring, and eating snacks in the cafeteria. Then......the arrival was here! Suraya Lillie Dilcher, born September 9th @ 9:48 am, weighing in at 9lbs 0oz and 20in long. We were instantly in love!!!! Let me just say...she was the most beautiful baby ever!! Then of course all our babies are the most beautiful...LOL But, She was! That week, I took care of my sister, helped her with her healing and bonded with our new addition to the family. I am very proud, very blessed, and will never forget this amazing experience. Thank you sister for having me. I love you all!
